Alfanol is a growth agent that mimics the action of Auxin

Description: Alfanol is a growth agent that mimics the action of Auxin and is used to thin, reduce ‎creasing, and increase fruit size in citrus. The product is also used to increase fruit ‎size in olives, to postpone ripening in palms, and to prevent premature dropping in ‎apples.‎

Notes:

*Citrus – Spraying may sometimes lead to diminished yields and results may not be consistent if product is used every year. Do not spray trees with small quantities of fruit or trees under any stress conditions. Do not spray when temperature is high and humidity is low or when extreme hot and dry weather is expected within 24 hours of application.

**Olives – Apply only in years with plentiful blossoming.

***Apple – When thinning apples, spray only on healthy and vital trees. Avoid spraying after hot and dry weather. Thinning results are also affected by other uncontrollable factors. Consult with an agricultural expert before thinning.

 

(1)  Occasionally causes thinning of fruit.

(2)  When at least one third of dates in early bunches have changed color. Not recommended for use on young groves. Spray groves 8 years old and older.

Combinations: May be combined with Dilamide for use in Golden variety apples, according to ‎instructions on Dilamide label.‎
