HRAC Class | Action Mechanism | Chemical Family |
C1 | Inhibits photosynthesis in PSII | Uracil |
Application:
Elimination of weeds in fallow fields: Non-agricultural fields. Preferably spray during the winter before the rain or activate by sprinkling (may also be applied in the summer and activated by sprinkling).
Weeds | Application time | Dosage (g/dunam) | Spray volume | Irrigation |
Desmostachya bipinnata, Hyparrhenia hirta | December – February | *1000-2000 | 40-60 L/dunam depending on height of weeds | Rain will incorporate product into soil |
* At such dosages, the product will also prevent the emerging of annual weeds.
Citrus groves:
a. Elimination of annual weeds: All species except pink grapefruit (Star Ruby or Sunrise) and pomelos, which may be sprayed from age 5 with dosages of up to 100 g/dunam
Height of weeds | Application time | Age of trees | Dosage (g/dunam) | Spray volume |
Up to 7 cm | Year round | One year and older | 75 | 30-40 L/dunam depending on height of weeds |
Up to 15 cm* | 100-150 |
* Combining Hunter at the above dosages with products that prevent sprouting, such as Diu-cron and/or Simazine, improves the efficiency of elimination of annual weeds higher than 15 cm.
Activation by irrigation: The product, or mixtures of the product with other products that prevent sprouting, may be activated by sprinkling or spraying up to 15 days after application. Provide the full amount of water customarily provided during the said season. Activate product by sprinkling the entire sprayed area.
b. Elimination of perennial weeds:
Height of weeds | Application time | Age of trees | Dosage (g/dunam) | Spray volume |
Perennials: Cynodon dactylon*, Sorghum halepense. | Year round | One year and older | 300-400 | 30-40 L/dunam depending on height of weeds |
* Cynodon dactylon must be in a state of vigorous growth, with fresh and undamaged foliage (no dryness, cold damage, leaf disease or scorching). Avoid spraying Cynodon dactylon when in flower. Under such conditions, it is preferable to mow or loosen the soil and spray only upon renewal of foliage.
** Age of trees: Trees planted as grafts can be treated with dosages required for the elimination of annual weeds provided at least 24 months have passed since planting and their development is normal and characteristic for their age.
